Considered “one of the greatest guitarists of his generation” (Music Critic, Steve Matteo) and since his 1980 album debut Who’s Been Talkin, Cray has been inviting audiences along on his epic musical journey – breaking through the pop ceiling with his gate crashing/blues-edged trademark sound, distinct playing style and daring innovations.

Along with his Grammy wins, Robert Cray has released twenty award winning multi-platinum albums, received 15 Grammy nominations, and was recently inducted into the 2011 Blues Hall of Fame. Cray has performed thousands of sold-out shows worldwide with The Robert Cray Band featuring longtime (and Robert’s original) bassist Richard Cousins, keyboardist and band cornerstone since 1989 Jim Pugh, and drummer Anthony Braunagel (Bonnie Raitt, BB King, Taj Mahal).

Kenny Wayne Shepherd will also be taking the Park Theatre stage! Still barely in his 30s, the Louisiana born axeman and song-smith has been selling millions of albums, throwing singles into the Top 10, shining a light on the rich blues of the past and forging ahead with his own modern twist on a classic sound he has embodied since his teens. He met Stevie Ray Vaughan at 7, shared the stage with New Orleans legend Bryan Lee at13. As an adult, he continues to create genre-defining blues-infused rock n’ roll.
