On September 19th, 2015, the all-female powerhouse Lez Zeppelin will perform at The Park Theatre. The band will be recreating Led Zeppelin’s legendary live performance of “The Song Remains The Same” at Madison Square Garden in July of 1973.

New York City’s Lez Zeppelin has been causing a sensation on stages all over the world including India, Europe and Japan since its 2004 inception. Now “…the most powerful all-female band in rock history…” (according to Chuck Klosterman) and “the ultimate turn-on” (according to Lenny Kaye) takes its power and fury to the Park. It’s a particularly fitting event as the group was recently the subject of a critically acclaimed Reuters documentary filmed by two long time White House press photographers.

Founded in 2004 by New York guitarist, Steph Paynes, the all-girl quartet, LEZ ZEPPELIN, has since gained unanimous critical acclaim as one of the most exciting live acts around. The girls stay true to the musically audacious spirit of the original, delivering the legendary rock band's blistering arrangements and monstrous sound at sold-out frenzied shows around the world. In June, 2013, Jimmy Page attended their show in London and said of the group, “They played the Led Zeppelin music with an extraordinary sensuality and an energy and passion that highlighted their superb musicianship.”

This is one band that has to be seen to be believed! Guitarist Steph Paynes gives such good Page that one is hard-pressed to tell the difference with eyes closed. Her unerring note-for-note accuracy is stunning, complemented by her own subtle improvisations. The same attention-to-detail is evident in the tight rhythm section of bassist Megan Thomas and drummer Leesa Harrington-Squyres, the latter a true Bonzo beast. Vocalist Shannon Conley, rather than copying Robert Plant, is her own woman. Her phrasing, timbre and timing are totally her own. Her vocals, coupled with the bands musicianship, swagger and gender-bending audacity, makes Lez Zeppelin one of the more remarkable bands of this or any era.
