Buddy Guy – By Popular Demand

Back By Popular Demand, The Living Legend of Blues!

Buddy Guy is a pioneer of the Chicago blues sound and has served as an influence to some of the most notable musicians of his generation, including Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Rolling Stone Magazine listed Buddy Guy 13th on its list of the Top 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time!

“He was for me what Elvis was probably like for other people… My course was set, and he was my pilot.”
- Eric Clapton

Any discussion of Buddy Guy invariably involves a recitation of his colossal musical resume and hard-earned accolades. He’s a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and a living link to that city’s halcyon days of electric blues.

Within the past year Buddy Guy has released his first-ever double album - Rhythm and Blues!

“Every time we would finish a session,” says Buddy Guy, “if everybody felt good about it, we'd say, ’Let's do another.’ You need about 14, 15 songs for an album, but we had passed 18 songs and I said, ‘Man, when is this going to be over?’ But they kept throwing songs at me, and every damn thing we cut sounded pretty good. I got the word back that the label thought maybe it was a good idea to put two CDs out—one of them the slow stuff, more for listening, and the other, like B.B. King said, if you want to boogie-woogie all night long.”

The result has a title both simple and clever: Rhythm & Blues, the first double-album set of his storied career. But more than five decades into a life as one of the world’s leading bluesmen, Buddy Guy is used to new surprises, challenges, and accolades.

Buddy Guy has sold out at both of his previous appearances at the Park Theatre and he's back by popular demand, so make sure to purchase your tickets as soon as they go on sale, before it's too late!

15 year old Quinn Sullivan is quickly gaining quite a reputation among today’s most respected guitar players and musical artists. He has been touring the world with his mentor and friend, Buddy Guy, promoting his latest CD, “Getting There,” produced in Nashville with multi-Grammy winner Tom Hambridge.

Since the age of 7 , Quinn has been sharing stages with legendary players like Eric Clapton, BB King and Buddy Guy at iconic venues like the Hollywood Bowl, Madison Square Garden, and Red Rocks. He has also performed at some of the world’s most prestigious festivals including Montreux Jazz, Austin City Limits, and Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival.

It all began with a toy guitar. When Quinn was three years old, his parents gave it to him for Christmas after noticing his natural affinity for music. Pretty soon Quinn was on his way, taking lessons and performing with local musicians. It quickly became apparent he had a gift and there has been no stopping him ever since.
